Hello. My name is Sherwin and I’d like to welcome you to my very own site dedicated to one of my favorite pass times: The Television.
The TV or telly or boob tube is regarded as one of man’s greatest inventions and has had a very long history which, according to Wikipedia, can be traced back to the late 19th century (1870s to be exact). The term “television” is said to have been coined by a certain Constantin Perskyi in the year 1900 but the televisions of his day were, of course, by no means anywhere near as complex as the ones we have today.
Have you seen the latest incarnation of the TV? Now we have LCD and Plasma TVs in ultra high resolutions which are certainly a light-year leap compared to its wooden and bulky ancestors (like picture above). The technology in these new ones will blow your mind away. Man has certainly gone a long way.
And the things they show in the tube these days? Geez, how do they come up with stuff like those?! Amazing. I Am a certified TV-lover and I try to watch as much as my time can afford.
So what exactly will you find in this blog? Well, like what my title says, everything and anything related to the boob tube. I will write about things TV-related as long as they catch my fancy and will also try to be helpful by providing buying guides, technical help (if I can) and information about TV shows that I love!
